MySQL database for a Minecraft server and bot
Updated 25-10-2026
Many plugins (LuckPerms, CoreProtect, AuthMe) and bots keep their data in a MySQL database. You can create a database for your server in the panel in seconds.
Creating a database
- Go to Server settings → Databases.
- In New database enter a name and click Create the database.
- You see the password right away. Put it in the plugin's configuration.
The number of databases depends on the plan. If your plan has none and you need one, write to us in a ticket.
Connection details
The database shows the Address, Port, Database name, Username and Password, plus a JDBC address for plugins that take a single line. Databases run on MariaDB, which is compatible with MySQL.
Example: LuckPerms
In plugins/LuckPerms/config.yml:
storage-method: mysql
data:
address: ADDRESS:PORT
database: DATABASE_NAME
username: USERNAME
password: 'PASSWORD'Example: CoreProtect
In plugins/CoreProtect/config.yml set use-mysql: true and mysql-host, mysql-port, mysql-database, mysql-username and mysql-password.
Restart the server after changing the configuration.
phpMyAdmin
The Open phpMyAdmin button opens the database in your browser: you can browse tables and import or export an SQL file.
Password and database copies
- Change the password sets a new password and the old one stops working at once: put the new one in the plugins' configuration.
- Every database has as many copies as the plan has backups. Restoring a copy replaces the tables with the ones from the copy.
Do not share the database details, e.g. on Discord or in screenshots. Whoever knows them can change the server's data.
