Minecraft server backups
Updated 02-10-2026
A backup is a copy of all the server's files: the world, plugins, mods and configuration. You find them in Panel → Servers → server → Backups.
Manual backup
Click Create backup and give it a name, e.g. "before the update". Make one before every bigger change: a new engine, a modpack or a game version update.
Automatic backups
You can turn on backups made on a schedule. When your package's backup limit is full, the oldest unlocked backup is deleted to make room for the new one.
Lock an important backup. A locked backup is never deleted automatically.
Restoring
- Click Restore next to the backup.
- The server stops and its files are replaced with the backup's content.
- Start the server again after the restore.
You can also download a backup to your computer as an archive.
How many backups
The number of backups depends on the package. You get a bigger limit in Extend.
