Minecraft Shield included with your server

Updated 02-10-2026

Minecraft Shield is extra anti-bot protection for Minecraft servers from EpicNetwork, our sister brand. Players connect through Shield's proxy, which checks every connection and stops bots and game-level attacks before they reach your server.

Shield and Anti-DDoS protection

  • Anti-DDoS comes with every Minecraft server and every VPS at EpicHost. It filters network attacks that try to flood the server with traffic. It always works, with or without Shield.
  • Shield is a layer above, inside Minecraft itself: it filters out bots, mass joins of fake players and floods of connections or game packets. Such traffic looks like ordinary players, so a network filter does not stop it.

Shield is most useful for public servers that bots target. A server for friends works well without it.

Shield included with your server

A Minecraft server from 14.99 PLN per 30 days includes a Shield Stone service, one per account.

  1. Go to Panel → Servers → server → Minecraft Shield.
  2. Click Claim Minecraft Shield.
  3. The service appears in the EpicNetwork panel. You log in with the same account, since the account is shared by EpicHost and EpicNetwork.

Shield works as long as you have a server that includes it. When one server ends, Shield moves to another qualifying server.

Setting it up

In the EpicNetwork panel, on the Shield service:

  1. Add a backend: the address of your Minecraft server at EpicHost. The Minecraft Shield page in the EpicHost panel lists the addresses you can use.
  2. Add the domain players will join through and set the DNS record as the EpicNetwork panel shows.
  3. From then on players join through Shield's domain, not directly through the server's address.

The included Shield covers one backend and no tunnels. A bigger plan is in the EpicNetwork shop.
