Plugins, mods and modpacks
Updated 02-10-2026
You install plugins, mods, datapacks and whole modpacks in the panel, without uploading files by hand: Panel → Servers → server → Add-ons.
Where add-ons come from
The panel searches the Modrinth catalogue and shows only what fits your server's engine and game version. Plugins run on Paper and Purpur, mods on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. You change the engine in Add-ons → Engine.
Installing
- In the Browse tab, search for an add-on by name.
- Click Install. The panel downloads the right version and the dependencies it needs.
- Restart the server so the add-on loads.
Installed add-ons are in the Installed tab, where you also update or remove them.
Modpacks
Modpacks install in the same place. The panel sets the right engine and game version and uploads the mods and configuration files.
Installing a modpack replaces the server's mods and configuration. Make a copy in Backups first.
One click
The One click tab has ready sets that configure themselves: voice chat, a world map in the browser and Geyser. Geyser lets Bedrock Edition players (phones, consoles) join. If an add-on needs its own port, the panel assigns one and shows it in Server settings → Addresses.
When the server does not start after an install
The most common causes are an add-on for another game version or a missing dependency. In the Event log the panel shows the cause of the crash and the name of the add-on that did not load. Remove it in Installed or restore a backup.
